Last weekend, Steve & I took a couple of days away to celebrate the 2004 anniversary of the beginning of “us” as a couple. We met way back in 1972 when we were teenagers - 15 & 16. Since that meeting we have always been friends. You can read the whole story on my website!

The anniversary is special to us because 14 years ago on October 25th, I was separated & getting divorced after 26 years. By talking to our friend Garth for support, I found out that Steven was divorced for the same reason! Sadly, both of our spouses had left us for someone else. I called Steve at work that day and that one phone call I made started a torrent of emails between us. We also started spending time together and speaking on the phone. It was definitely crazy, but real. About three weeks later Steve said to me - “You know we’re getting married, don’t you?” Eight months later we were! ❤

We love Boca Grande, Gasparilla Island, Florida. This is the third time we’ve been there.
