Well, I cannot believe I did it again! This is my second year completing a “365” project. In 2018, I did a 365 project, following along under the direction of Tammy Garcia: 365 Somethings: 2018. I was amazed when I completed the project in late December, 2018 and also proud. I decided to do it again in 2019. This time I was kind of on my own & not part of any group effort. I branched out to doing a variety of projects; anything creative that would represent each day of 2019 and equal 365 pieces by years end. Not necessarily art on a daily basis, but more often in batches, as time allowed. Working this way turns out well for me!

This year, in 2019, I took photos, started working on a quilt, drew and wrote in a “Rocketbook”, created mixed media pages with prompts provided from Daisyyellowart.com, played with paint, pastels & rubber stamps, did collage, participated in art exchanges, created mail art, altered book pages, art journaling . . . did some sewing, continued with the quilt & doodled! At times I wondered if I could “keep up” and make it to 365. Then I turned it around. I told myself to do what I could and keep track! That was probably the hardest part, documenting, organizing, sharing and keeping track of my creative 365 work. But I did it!

Now when I look back (I created a wrap-up video, see below) I say: WOW. Look at all of this! It makes me feel so good to see all the work done so far on a quilt for my son Dallas & his wife + daughter and to see ALL the drawing and doodling I did -Much more than I thought! Lots and lots of art journaling and work in altered books too. I highly recommend such a challenge.
