More creativity!
Isn't it lovely when you start doing something a little bit creative and find that it gives you more ideas and inspiration? I love it when that happens! If I just start somewhere, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, I’ve found more creative ideas will come. Write down those ideas to help make them happen. It’s important to do it —for you! Just try it and see.
This week I returned to the Grid Journal Lessons I started last week. This time we started with scribbling but then used acrylic paint. I made a mess of things by mixing too many colors together. I thought about leaving it alone and chalking it up to experience, but decided to wait. The next day I thought, maybe I could make the pages more appealing by adding collage like we did in the first lesson? Here’s a run through. Click on any photo for more details and then you can slide through the photos as a slideshow.
Now, I actually like this grid journal page! I learned that I should choose a simple color palette and mix the paints separately - not all mushed together in the grid! Although, the painted grids did end up making a nice background for the collage. I guess that would be a good example of taking a mistake & making it better.
Another Project: I added a stitch to my 52 stitches 2023 book, taught by Anne Brooke.
I also got inspired to do a little gelli plate printing after watching lots of videos.
Lots of layers & fooling around! I plan to go back and try more of the step by steps, shown on the videos. This foray into gelli printing again was just to get my feet wet!
I also managed a number of daily photos on blipfoto. One I took of a red shoulder hawk in our front yard got a lot of attention. It is a close up that shows lots of details that was taken with my “real” camera.
Thanks so much for stopping by ❤ creativity is my passion!
