A Gelli Print day!
yes, it was a gelli day!
I had a lot of fun playing with my new Gelli Plate. I got out some old and new stencils, a variety of sequin waste, a few masks, some lace and a combing tool. I used a variety of acrylic paints and I watched the videos from Julie Fei-Fan Balzer's getting started with the Gelli plate class first, so I would be armed with ideas when I started! It worked out well. A very good first foray into monoprinting with the Gelli plate : )
I made many prints and took many photos, so I decided the best way to share it all was to make a short animoto video from my pictures. Follow this Link to view, or click on the video below.
The artist knows he must be alone to create; the writer, to work out his thoughts; the musician, to compose; the saint, to pray. But women need solitude in order to find again the true essence of themselves.
