january art journaling
Last week I dove back into my art journal and completed 3 spreads. What a great feeling that is!
For this spread I used an old calendar that hung in my family's home when I was 13 years old :) I chose pastels to add color to the water and the background of the calendar page.
On a different set of pages shown below, I used a number of image transfers . . . packing tape transfers of magazine images (those eyes!) and a transfer of a photo of Steven paddling in Canada. I transferred that photo onto fabric and another photo of bougainvillea onto paper. I combined these transfer images with some leftover Gelli Plate prints and old wrapping paper, then added color with watercolor crayons.
This is my positive affirmation journal and so I am always adding a quote or a few words that speak to me and keep me feeling positive, I love looking through this journal!
The last spread - or rather the first one I completed last week was done with a background of two paints and some of my favorite marbled paper.
I made a video showcasing these journal pages which you can view below or via this link!
There are a few photos at the end of a trip across the river in Dave Lucas' hand built boat, The Helen Marie, with Steve as the captain, just for fun!
Thanks for stopping by!
