I have found the Daily Paper Prompts (DPP) from the Daisy Yellow Art site to be so helpful to me in my quest to do a little something creative every day. Right now I am using this fairly large Dylusions Creative Art Journal. I'm pretty happy with it so far! The pages are medium weight; not thin and not too thick. Fairly sturdy and holding up well to my artistic abuse! I do a lot of "wet" watercolor crayon in my journal. I have a special page on my tumblr where I've added more photos of just the pages in my art journal, you are welcome to view them here.
Below you will see my studio where I work/play.

Soon, in a few weeks, I will travel first to Boston to visit with my 2 sons and their wives, and then I will hop on a plane to Scotland to spend almost a week with my friend, Frieda = Art Quilter.
It is somewhat of a dream come true for us! We have been writing emails and sharing art for 10 years and this will be our first time to spend time together in person. I am so excited and I know Frieda is too!! I asked her if I could come at this time so I could view her exhibition of Journal Quilts in person. I'm so, so excited to be able to view her award winning work in person, to spend time with her, to see her beautiful home in the country after seeing many photos, meet her dogs and her husband, to take walks with her, visit gardens, see Scotland - a country I've never seen before! We both keep blipfoto photo journals - a daily photo project Frieda introduced me to in 2010. We're sure to be sharing our visit together there, so you may want to bookmark our sites.
