#26: A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
The Documented Life Project™ Week 26 /June Theme: Travel Journaling - June 27 Art Challenge: Photos and Words /Journal Prompt: A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
I started with the idea of picking out a few favorite photos from our trip to Boca Grande for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. A number of small photos with some words -which was our Art Challenge for week 26, June 27th DLP. As I was printing out photos, I thought -why not use a large photo printed on brochure paper as a background? I chose a photo of a sunset we saw on the beach after dinner one night. I added it to my journal and then wanted to add color to the white space. I chose soft pastels and smudged the colors I loosely drew, to blend them into the photo and fixed it with a matte sealer.
