2020 ICAD challenge -complete!
Each year, Tammy Garcia (Daisy Yellow Art) hosts the ICAD challenge from June 1st - July 31st. What is ICAD you say?? The acronym stands for: Index Card A Day! This index card challenge is a great way to get into the habit of working creatively, just a little bit each day. I found it very self-affirming . . . that if I would just jump in for a few minutes, I could get something done, exercise my creative muscles, and every day be closer to my goal of 61 mixed media cards! Yippee! Here is a photo of all of them on July 31st:
I decided to take my 3”x5” Index cards, work on them all vertically and then use washi tape (decorative paper tape) to attach the cards in an accordion fashion. This was the 8th year I have participated, but the first year I ever made a accordion book with my index cards. I absolutely love it!
