urban journal (remix)

I have finally dived in and started to fill the pages of the journal I made in Roben-Marie Smith's class I took online a few weeks ago. She generously offers this as a free class! it's one of her first online classes she taught that she refreshed & remixed, as a way of letting us try out her workshops. It is a wonderful class! I am not affiliated at all, I just loved the class.

I have started a page in the "Art Journal" section of my website. I'm adding how I fill this new/old journal to this gallery here.  You can see them peeking out behind the green page. There are more photos in the gallery!

I say new/old because my urban journal started it's life as a bookkeeper's book for Steven's Grandfather! I did re-use some of the pages when rebinding & remaking. I was not sure what I was going to fill it with . . . but alas, the old "jump in" and do what comes to mind worked very well today. I do hope you enjoy!

I added distress ink Oxide (cracked pistachio) to the intro pages. The art work (left) is Roben-Marie's Art Pops!

Part of the joy of looking at art is getting in sync in some ways with the decision-making process that the artist used and the record that’s embedded in the work.
